The Remote Supports Home is a special opportunity offered by Alliance for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience what it is like to live more independently. Individuals who receive intellectual/developmental disability services managed by Alliance and are interested in learning more about the Remote Supports Home should contact their Alliance Care Navigator for additional information.

Many people who receive services managed by Alliance for an intellectual or developmental disability live in group homes with 24-hour staff due to the lack of a safe and affordable alternative. Others live at home but require significant assistance from family or other natural supports. Understandably, some people are hesitant about the prospect of a more self-sufficient living arrangement. By trying the Remote Supports Home during a planned stay, our members will be able to determine if this service can be used to alleviate the need for overnight staff and ultimately, help them to live more independently.
