The It’s Time to Re-Think campaign focuses on the concepts of recovery and self-determination and reflects Alliance’s commitment to integrating these concepts into our work and to making the citizens of Durham, Wake, Cumberland and Johnston counties more aware of them.

At Alliance we know that people CAN and DO recover from mental illness and substance use disorders and that each of us has the right to as much freedom as possible to make our own choices and decisions about our lives.

The campaign aims to debunk the common myths and misconceptions about people with mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual/developmental disabilities that create stigma and keep them from getting the help they need.
